I have several more affordable passive DI-E speakers, which are also excellent for connecting unbalanced signals from e-pianos and other instruments to a mixer.

Unfortunately, however, the construction sometimes has to be very fast or there should not be any excessive wiring installed for other reasons, so I do not get a proper star-shaped wiring. And for this case, I wanted a higher-quality option to quickly disconnect other circuit-powered monitor or active full-range speakers from the mixer.

Here I wanted then on the one hand a really safe and wackelfreie decoupling, of course XLR inputs and outputs, and secondly as low as possible sound influence. Both of these DI boxes have been outstandingly successful. The processing is very high-quality (according to my short experience with it), there are no unnecessary switches available, the decoupling works reliably and above all: The sound is absolutely compelling! Here the investment was really worth it. For hobbyists like me is certainly no Haufe-transformer for every small instrument necessary, but so far behind in the signal path is worth the investment in any case, in order not to destroy the beautiful mixed sound.

You can with XRL or Klinke and go back with XRL or TRS jack rausgehenhen. A parallel TRS output is also available. The passive DI box is robustly processed and does not need an additional voltage source, plug in and you do not have to worry about more.

Brumming effects can be effectively avoided or eliminated, so probably everyone has already collected their own experiences during live performances. In addition, there is also a ground lift switch, if a separation is really necessary.

The audio quality is good and you can hear no difference in live performances anyway. In sum the Di Box is well processed and offers much for its price. Other manufacturers may have a more attractive case, but this is hardly likely.

In practice it is more about processing, sound, quality and connection possibilities, which are primarily the decisive factors for this kind of transmission. In sum a successful product with no corners and edges.
