Mostly no problem.

DI boxes are used to extend unwanted unsymplite (2-pole) signals, eg from guitar amp pickups, or to a mixing console input that expects a balanced signal and provides an XLR jack.
I used this DI Millenium DI-A ACTIVE DI Box as an active signal converter with the phantom power of my mixer (Behringer Eurorack UB1222FX), ie without power supply or battery. And that works quite well.
Only once I had a small, old (and probably also cheap) bass amplifier so strong sub-noises on both outputs (unbalanced to the bass amplifier and symmetrical to the mixer) that the operation was impossible.
However, since this was a single case so far, I assume that the amplifier was "fault", or was internally interconnected or the grounding faulty or something.
The processing seems to me very solid and therefore I can recommend the Millenium DI-A.
