Sturdy but flawed
Anonymous 03.08.2016
These stands are used to elevate wedding band stage lighting (alternating between two Stairville HLX-18's and a 4-led bar).

Pros:
- Thick, sturdy tubing doesn't seem liable to denting or bends the way other cheaper stands can be.
- Raise/Lower mechanism makes it very easy to raise lights up much higher than you would normally be able to (safely) reach.
- Threaded M10 hole at top. A lot of stands don't have this and need it added with an adaptor, but its presence here is very useful for adding T-bars, lights etc.

Cons:
- Fold/Unfold mechanism somewhat sticky and not particularly smooth, leads to a degree of wrestling on occasion.
- Crank handle and mechanism does not feel overly sturdy and I feel it will break soon, particular the yellow plastic tab that 'holds' the main bar in place once raised. It does not seem that this is particularly fit for long term, regular use.

In review: great, sturdy stands, but as other reviews have stated, I feel prolonged heavy use on the crank handle/mechanism will lead to it failing sooner rather than later

M
Good stand with hand crank mechanism which is really useful for musicians!
Mtkolife 03.08.2021
USE: I use this stand for live gigs with couple of different speakers which have abut 20-25kg.
CLARITY: I need to say that stands for that price are good. They are not perfect becase hand crank mechanism does not go really smooth. Otherwise with that stands you can put speakers on the nice height, so approximately to more that 200cm.
PROS&CONS: I like the price. For such a price you get a good stand which is really useful and also your back will be verry happy. Putting 25kg speakers on 180cm stand is not easy but with that stand and hand crank mechanism everything is much easier and i am happy for that. You need to know also that stands are quite havy due to the steel construction. With alluminium based and cheaper stands i was able to transfer (in one hand) three speakers stands, two microphone stands and keyboard stands but now i have one hand for just one BS-2400 stand. Nevertheless, I am happy with the stands.
I recommend those stands because of the price, they are useful and they can help musicians on the road. For that price you can not get better stand, definitely!

Great for the Solo Operator.
Hob Junker 20.02.2019
For years I had been doing quite a lot of freelance sound gigs solo. So getting speakers on to stands and setting the appropriate heights can be the most taxing part of the operation.

After years of using basic stands that require you to lift the speakers and stick pins in the bars to set your heights i finally decided to upgrade things and treat myself to some crank stands.

These stands seem solid and well built and have immediately made life easier for me. The Crank mechanism makes adjusting the height of the speakers almost effortless and with the wide span of the legs these stands seem comfortable maxed out height-wise with my 15 inch tops mounted on them.

Would recommend.
