Meinl MDJS1 Djembe Strap - cloth-covered nylon strap with quick-change hook, adjustable straps and quick-release buckles. Comfortably and securely holds any djembe in the perfect playing position, fully adjustable and works on all common djembes. Thick pads ensure long lasting comfort while playing. Colour: multi-coloured
I tried this with a 15inch iroko djembe and it tends to pull down too much with this much weight (about 10kg !!). It is perfect for any djembes that weigh 8.5kg or less as it won't pull down too much. It is very well made with a kente touch to the cloth. Very deep padding and really sturdy straps and buckles. For what it is it couldn't be better.

Not for all djembes
This belt promises a good wearing comfort, but this promise can not be kept in my wear. I am 1.83 m tall and I weigh 84 kg - I have to adjust all the straps to the smallest length to prevent the harness from being pulled too far down by the weight of the djembe!
The hook on the front of the belt is open at the top, so that the djembe can not be secured against unintentional detachment from the hook. Such a thing could only happen if you would also move intensively while playing - who quietly has with the hook but no problems.
Since the Djembentragegurt no manual, is not quite clear to me how to fasten the belt with a Djembe with Rim (ie without lace tension) like the Meinl Headliner HDJ600WRB? Just hang under the rim comes I think is not question, since the hook scrubs too strongly from the bottom of the coat and also the Djembe is not generally fixed. I wrapped a fabric ribbon around the upper part of the djembe and knotted a loop for the hook of the lap belt. Now you have to take care of the djembe every time, that the hook does not unnecessarily scratch the lacquer of the djembe or rhymes, but so you can use the harness with a djembe without a lacing system.
In my opinion, this harness is very good from the processing and the stability, only the handling and the wearing comfort are still not really satisfactory.
If I take the high price into consideration, then I would not buy the belt again, but rather a different try.
