Meinl MCS Series, 14" Medium Hi-Hat, regular Finish, medium weight cymbal with a wide dynamic spectrum and a clean stick response, warm, brilliant open hihat sound and a clear chick, material: b8 bronze
I bought this one because of its low price. It sounds adequate, but I don't really like it when the hi-hat is closed because it sounds kind of dead. But it is a cheap-priced hi-hat so it's kind of reasonable.
If you wanna use it for recording, that's fine but you might wanna apply some EQ to it really well

HI-HAT AT GOOD PRICE AND WITH VERY POWERFUL SOUND
It is always difficult to find a decent dish when the budget for the purchase is somewhat adjusted, and even more so when the dish in question is a hi-hat or a ride.
In this case we speak of the hi-hat, particularly the Meinl 14 "MCS Medium, with which I achieve robustness and great sonority for a reasonable price.
Due to my style of music (punk, metal), I demand dishes with good resistance, and this hi-hat gives me.
With respect to sound, to say that it possesses a great power, perhaps something exaggerated in small rehearsal places, but that in concerts it obtains that we can dispense of microphony for this plate. Obviously not the cleanest sound of the dishes on the market, but the truth is, that the value for money is more than acceptable.
