ONE LMIII FROM 1000W
tozzimauro74, 04.05.2018
The head in question is a LMIII with 1000w of power !!
I say this because the preamp is the same as the younger sister !!
Sound and possibility of changes Eq. practically identical to the LMIII.
I personally do not feel substantial differences and, although there is a final of different power, the pasta is practically the same.
It's the perfect head for those who love the traditional Markbass sound but need more power !!
I worked with Gain at 1.00 pm and with Master at 11.00 am in a very large square !!
The Eq. it was so set: Low hours 10:00; average low hours 10:00; medium high and high at 14:00; VLE in OFF and VPF at 15:00.
Despite the low values ??set in Eq. I did not have any kind of listening problem !!
I played in combination with a Markbass NY-122 800w on 4Ohm cabinet (ideal choice for those who want a lot of power in a small space and with a very low weight !!).
The declared power is 1000w but I can not say that it sounds twice the LMIII.
The master notches used are however much lower in the general use but not the mathematical half !!
This is not the calculation that must be done to understand the actual power of the head !!
Even the minimal variations of Eq. and the increase of small portions of Master notches greatly increase the output power !!
The characteristics are identical to the LMIII but there is no power output via the Jack connector.
Being the output very powerful it is definitely preferred to use only speakon outputs.
I have been using the head for 4 months and I have never had any problems whatsoever !!
Small it is light as the LMIII is a perfect choice also for the price, very competitive considering the build quality and design !!
Recommended product !!
