Charismatic

Thomas H. 474, 27.02.2013
My former mouthpiece lake had already passed me on so many different mouthpieces - there are hardly any "mainstream parts" and crazy extremes, which I had not tried over time. It took time and nerves ...

At the same time, I have developed a very special predilection for Marcinkiewicz.

I am also quite satisfied with the E9.6 (finally) some years ago. So it has become anything but a short one-night stand ;-)

The sound that I can develop on this is simply fantastic. It is, on the other hand, variable and always somehow "own". The boiler is relatively flat, which in the lead area gives a proper portion of bite and assertion. It is not so flat, however, that the "all-round range" leads to lousy compromises - well-trained, the sound is full and full in all situations. Certain cuts on the "clay body" have at most in the (extreme) "classical" range ...

The rim shape is half-round, has an optimal point for me and always remains pleasant - even with tougher stakes. Here goes a fat shake in the brass section of a R'nB band just like fine tongue work in the brass quintet-occupation.

With the same edge and diameter, this mouthpiece also has a shallower and deeper kettle.

It would be nice if there were still available flugelhorn and cornet mouthpieces available.

Crisp sound

L. aus F., 14.12.2016
With the Marcinkiewicz E9.6, you are more likely to be in the commercial sound field due to the rather flat design - but it is a crystal-clear warm and full sound. The interesting thing about Marcinkiewicz is always the very good response, which is significantly better than with many other manufacturers. Top for Big Band, Jazz / Funk, etc etc.
I have also experimented here for classical range - with large bore or XL instruments quite worth a try!
