Received the amp packed very well and everything was fine. Looks great and very compact, A comfortable handle to carry it around the house or go out for gigs. Good looking in the exterior. The sound from 1w is the same of the 15w but in low volume. The quality is the same; great I have used both inputs and also the most important; the effects loop is special. I have try the effects in a clean channel I have in my guitar processor trying to reach a good clear tone full of blues, the music I play most. Absolutely amazing! All I can say about is that everyone should find his values but I wish to suggest these settings from left to right: Tone-7, Volume-4, Bass-7, Middle-6, Treble-6, Gain-2 or 3. With these settings, you will have a great clear sound I assure everyone who is looking to have. I played through Harley Benton L-450 Plus with that features Wilkinson humbuckers. Tubes are Ruby but I don't notice any change in sound and quality in comparison with expensive ones. The HH Laney loudspeaker is also brilliant. For the budget this is a great deal and you will have on your feet and ready to play loud if you want a very great guitar amplifier!

Light, compact, well-sounding power pack

A full-tube amp with 15 watts output power, 12 inch speaker, only 11.5 kg, as big as a Fender Blues Junior ... that made me curious. At the price of 279 euros, I had to order it easy. Is he able to compete with the Blues Junior? To answer the question immediately, yes he can.
There is the Cub12 also as an R-version with Hall, but since I use an effect pedal, the me-without-Hall version is enough. It has a loop effect, which is not necessarily to be found with a single-channel amp. This processed grounded effects very well, there is no reason to complain. The Laney has 2 different inputs. The normal, with the full 15 watt output power, and the 1 watt input, suitable for practicing at home and recordings, to "tickle" the output stage at low volume. They sound a bit different in sound, but with a bit of adjustment they look good.
The cleane headroom is, of course, limited, a single coil guitar stays clean longer than the colleagues of the humbucker department. But the volume is enough for the Proberaum, unless you are a member of a heavy metal band, but the Laney is not made. The sound is rather vintage and distorted, the Laney sounds more British, more harmonious than his Fender Blues junior colleague. It has momentum and the processing is really great. The cover of the Fender Blues Junior is simply used as protection.
I can recommend the Laney warmly and it shows once again that also cheap Vollröhrenamps can have an excellent quality.
