Had never thought I would spend 1500 ¤ for a headphone, but I also wanted to listen to classical music in the summer (listen to jazz and alternative music) on the terrace and there is not a headphone around.

The first impression is a 1: 1 YouTube headphone tester. Plays wonderfully but was not even over bass, mids and heights. Bass very pleasant but in the highs for me too pointed and almost painful.
Have compared with the 150 PSB, which plays wonderfully musical, leaves little wishes open but plays very close to the head (ear), no wide stage.
But the first week I was not so enthusiastic about the Fostex TH900. By the way only because of the optics is already worth its money.

Have then me an even more expensive (2150 ¤) Audeze lc-xc ordered, which came yesterday, and the TH900 with white noise and Mahler symphonies for days. Overloading of headphones, yes, shared opinions, I had no because I have no experience.

But, the TH-900 is no longer imbalanced now, after two weeks of intensive listening, is simply wonderful, either it is actually the case that the ear is accustomed to it or has played itself into it.
Now I feel the new Audeze lc-xc as in the heights a bit strenuous ergo now depends on the "white noise" on a permanent loop.

Now I have only the problem that I probably have to give back again, but would like to keep both because both sound wonderful in their way. The Audeze has a further stage and more details, however, the TH-900 is even more relaxed and more rounded at the moment.

These are problems ...

Wow! This is finally him ...

After a long search and various other headphones, I rather happened to this Fostex KH. I was just about to get the Beyer T1 2nd. But I was rather skeptical, because it should be more musical than the first generation, but probably more analytical. For me it should become a "musical" KH, even if others the "bathtub sound" gladly fundamentally criticize.

To the TH-900: Yes, it is not 100% analytical. BUT: Genaud that I wanted so. The TH-900 is rather warm-tuned, which is very pleasant to my hearing. And he really has strong bass, which was also very important to me. In spite of all this, he does not sound too much for my ears in the bass, but he is very detailed. Middle, treble, bass, everything in harmony.

The wearing comfort is also very good. I only made a star deduction because it was relatively loose on my very small head. For me (!) He could sit somewhat tighter. But this can look quite different in another. He is comfortable without end. Watch the whole night? No problem. I sleep regularly :-).

Processing: Handmade (where is it still today?) And beyond any doubt. Nothing clacked or wobbled.

Conclusion: TOP headphones with lace trim and processing, which I am now the KHV Fostex HP-A8C to put to the side (I can hardly wait, I ordered it yesterday at Thomann ...).
