Good sound but who designed the hole damper?
The concept is great, and the sound is good and deep (tried combined with the EMAD Batter head), controlled - especially with the hole damper mounted. A nice touch is that the hole edge has a ribbon of extra plastic mounted around it, so mics or damping materials moved through the hole will not snag and tear the drum skin.
However, the hole damper is made out of fragile foam with nothing to hold it together on the hole side - which means that if you move the damper around, the skin will start to carve into the damper and eventually the damper will separate into two useless sides. This didn't take long, even when just using the particular kick it was mounted to in a personal studio with me being the only person to touch it... Live it will be impossible for the damper to last even 2 teardowns, I think.

A great choice
Sounds amazing, fits perfectly! The quality if also amazing!
Had a large sticker with the name of my band printed for it and when i applied it i did not hear any downgrade of the sound.

The best kick reso I've ever used!
I have changed all of my kick drums over to this resonant head from Evans. I am predominantly a Remo user, but I have to say I would recommend the Evans emad to any professional drummer. I don't think there is a better kick resonant/front head available by any of the other manufacturers. The tonal clarity and response is excellent, and the head itself is robust and tough enough to withstand life on the road. I particularly like the protective/reinforcement ring around the microphone sound hole. There's no rattle or buzz, just a pure response. I use it with a Remo coated powerstoke 4 on the batter side and it makes a seriously effective partnership! Great drum head!

Super easy to tune Head
These heads are brilliant, so easy to tune. I always find tuning a bit of a chore, but as soon as the head is placed onto the shell you just get the feeling that these 360 heads are a real improvement. I play in a Hard Rock band, and in an acoustic "restaurant" band. Completely different styles, and sounds, but with this Reso head and the E-Mad batter with the external damping rings so easy to tune to the sound needed.
I know what will be going on my Toms when they need new heads!

WOW!
Haven't set up yet but the looks tells me my bass drum is going to shake the ground with power and sound, packaging was fenomenal as always. I have this premier cabria 20" and cant wait to put it and shake some ground with, it's a powerful tool in combination with E-mad batter head. Will recommend to any drummer anytime anyday

Great reso head
It's great head, even with hole it resonates quite well. Note: if you're buying this head to use it with kick port, it wont work. The port hole is too small for kick port.

Makes a difference
Fits very well and tunes easily. Excellent port hole for miking when the time comes. No issues, just great punchy sound. Really tremendous service from Thomann as usual.

Easy to set-up and tunes really well.
I replaced a stock Pearl reso head with this Evans head. It is recommended by Bob Gatzen, the guy whol was involved in designing these heads. All I can say is that the head tunes really easily and sits really well on the drum edge, making it really easy to mic in a stage setting. The air vent is already fitted with a lovely edge which makes the whole head look very nice indeed. Highly recommended.

Perfect Reso!
I combined this Reso with the Evans 20" EMAD2 Clear Bass Drum Drum Head. And this works perfectly together. The sustain is very short but at the same time the bass drum does not sound "dead". It´s the opposite: It sound very lively and especially extremely punchy!
