Great Pickups

Cannot fault this set of Humbuckers. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Mid output levels. The EQ balance on these are perfect for a Les Paul or SG while still maintaining that classic Gibson Sound. Only adds to the quality of a Guitar sound.
EMG are great and Thomann are excellent as usual, only one slight problem... These are advertised as Passive with long shaft pots. Not correct, they are active with standard short shaft pots!

Ce magnifique kit est très facile à monter, voir même enfantin. Que se soit en remplacement ou d?origine c?est d?une simplicité déconcertante. Le schéma de montage est très complet.Attention quand même à prévoir un sélecteur, car non fourni.
Le son est très Gibsonnien avec du « fat » comme son nom l?indique. J?ai une plus grande préférence pour le micro neck. Je trouve le Bridge un poil en deçà. Il manquerait un poil de basse. Mais ce n?est que mon avis. J?ai monté trois kit Fat 55 et le sérieux de chez EMG est toujours au RDV. Attention ne vous attendez pas à avoir le son d?un 85 ou d?un 81, on est ici plus dans de la définition passive.

Eingebaut in einer Harley Benton CST-24. Wertet die Gitarre um das doppelte auf. Erstklassiger Sound für 70er Rock und Hardrock. Massive Stärken im Crunch-Bereich gegenüber anderen Pickups. Clean und Hi Gain Sounds sind auch super. Ein klassischer PAF kann hier kaum mithalten.
Ich empfehle einen EMG Toggle Switch mit zu bestellen.
Nachteil: Output relativ schwach gegenüber EMG 57/66 aber stärker als beim EMG FAT 77 Set. Die Inputs der Audio Interfaces, resp. Amps müssen daher angepasst werden.

Ich nutze diese Tonabnehmer in einer Epiphone The Dot. Nachdem ich viele Tonabnehmer durchgetestet habe, und langsam die Geduld verloren habe da einen der Einbau mit Lötkolben bei einer ES 335 wirklich zur Weißglut bringen kann, bin ich auf dieses Set gestoßen. Ich habe den Kauf kein einziges Mal bereut der Sound ist wirklich Bombe und unglaublich, vorallem wenn man Alvin Lee mag. Wie immer sehr guter und schneller Versand.
