Great little amp

13.06.2016
A really well put together product. The hardware all feels great, nice feel to the pots, solid casing. Very light weight and easy to carry about.

OK The sounds. Channel 1 is in Fender type territory. There is a lot of clean head room here. I have been unable to get this to break up, however I have not turned this up above 5. I am using a Gibson Les Paul Standard. With everything on 12 O'Clock it lacks a bit of sparkle and feels bass heavy. This suggests that the default setting was tested using single coils. However the EQ is very reactive and it's easy to create a more cutting tone. Channel 2 is not a channel, but really a switchable overdrive on top of Channel 1. You can get some decent light to medium crunch out of Channel 2. The EQ on Channel 2 is sensible for an Overdrive. The overall EQ for Channel 2 controlled from Channel 1.

This is a loud 50 watts.

Takes pedals very well. I tried this with various drives most were good, perhaps a bit of fizz on some but this is likely the EQ. There were some that did not work so well but that is always the same on different amps.

The one thing this amp would benefit from is an FX loop.

Overall a good amp. This won't be my main rig, I have a THR100 which is better but was twice the price. However this makes a good practice rehearsal or back up rig.

Finally a genius kingdom ...

Counterpart 3PO, 19.01.2016
... and I'm thrilled.

I was looking for a handy 'clean' amplifier that does not rustle too violently with Stratocaster 1954 SingleCoils ... Found!

And much more:

Finally, an amplifier builder (except Laney) is able to install a ring core transformer (unfortunately, there are no tuners, which upgrade Marshall, Orange and Co. to ring core transformer), which is less susceptible to interference due to its construction. At 100% volume and a Paula at 2m distance one hears at best the own Tinitus and the fleas cough - otherwise NOTHING!

The DV Mark complements my Rockerverb 50 in matters of business rest. The orange is my reference and in the sound of the clean channel, the DV Mark is better, in the distortion channel almost as good, with extremely good signal-to-noise ratio and with less than 10% combat weight.

'Raisin separator' will alleviate the lack of an effect loop, but somewhere is good, at the price and the size.

Before the amp I even achieve with the 'EHX B9 organ machine' sensationally good results, what with other amps (I still have five) is not always the case. All other effects also work well in front of the transistor.

I give 6 points :-) in all disciplines, especially for the super transformer. For the price (made in Indonesia) one should strike, if one sowas on the antenna has.

All others, who believe that a tube is irreplaceable and behind it is not physics but voodoo, will not be lost in the area "transistor amplifier" ...

Use your ears - you usually hear music.

I am staying, Mr de Virgiliis was really a good idea.

Update 06.02.2016

I also have a single Mex strat, which was mainly dulled over the DV Mark extremely dull, as described. This now has other PUs (Fender N3) and now sounds wonderfully clear on both channels ....

What is nowhere to be seen is the fact that the Cleanlevel Poti also affects the Zerrkanal. If the potentiometer is set too low, then it sounds very modest.

But very pleasant: increasing the gain in the distortion channel almost does not change the overall volume - you do not have to constantly screw on both rules. Specials of a transistoramp ... ;-)
