Fantastic piano for it's quality
Olga U., 27.01.2020
I'm just learning to play piano so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I use it daily and so far had a very enjoyable experience. The sound of this digital piano is pretty good, samples seem to be of a very good quality and synthesis engine is pretty impressive. I wouldn't say that it's amazing, but it's more than good enough for most of my use cases.

The speakers work really well for the piano and surround mode is pretty fun to use, it definitely mimics the actual experience of sitting down at a piano pretty well.

There's a lot of small tweaks and features you can set up, from changing details of piano sound to using a different tuning system.

It also works really well as a midi keyboard. I tend to use it with Pianoteq and I really appreciate the fact that this keyboard uses high-resolution midi velocities (which Pianoteq also supports really well).

Keys are nice to touch and satisfying to press on.

There are some small cons I've noticed so far.

First, the glassy panels attract fingerprints and dust, which is pretty annoying. Second, metronome sound is pretty bad (in my opinion) and there's no way to change it.

The pedal included with this piano is also pretty bad, I would recommend getting a higher-quality one to better mimic the acoustic piano experience.

Overall I'm really happy with this product.

Excellent overall but connectivity to Chordana should be easier
SamFa, 06.04.2021
This piano looks great, especially when paired with the purpose-built stand. The control panel looks very sleek and simple although it does attract fingerprints.

The keys look realistic and the textured finish means they feel great - there are no issues with slipping.

The action is very short which makes it heavy towards the back of the keys. This is apparent when playing trickier chords but it's understandable given the slim build.

The touch controls are very responsive.

The tones I have tried have all been excellent, especially the "bright" grand piano. The speakers sound really good.

Changing settings via the keys is clunky and although this should be simplified by using the Chordana app - it's not so straightforward. It requires an on-the-go compatible device, an on-the-go adapter (not supplied) and a USB-A-to-USB-B adapter (also not supplied). Bluetooth connectivity would be far better or at least a port that makes things easier (seriously, USB-A..?!)

The other problem I have is the discrepancy in volume levels. A sensible level for the metronome without headphones is inaudibly quiet with headphones and the softer piano tones are very quiet with headphones. Meanwhile, the tone-changing alert tone blasts your ears off.

Quite nice sound and touch
Phiter, 29.12.2020
I am kindoff a beginner, even if i played here and there. I bought it also for use for my young daughter. she likes the default sound and is not interrested by the other sounds funnily, maybe because it is quite alike the sound of her teacher’s real piano.

Plus: nice touch, nice piano sounds, usb midi connection, bluetooth audio in and jack audio in (so ipad or samsung can be connected with midi cable and sound output of a piano app can go through the piano), not too heavy and has a sleek form factor. Chordana app allows changing settings quite easily. Nice looking. Simple quick integrated midi recorder, so i use it to listen to my progress, but it will not hold the song after switching off (the use a tablet/phone to record). Quick switch on.

Minus: connecting the sound output to an external amplifier generates a noisy hacking sound that renders it unusable. I still have to investigate if some decoupling apparatus could solve this)
Headphone sound level is on the lower limit, even considering ear protection.
There could be more sounds to play around, or a way to add some through an app. Harpsichord sound is dull.
Lack of bluetooth midi that would allow the use of cheaper tablets and less cables (however what would be the latency?)
Need to use info sheet to activate functions or the Chordana app as the design is too pure!
Chordana bars is a horrible way to learn to play! I am using Flowkey by now.

However, all in all I like it, a good beginners piano and seems ok for more advanced level too.

light and designer stage piano Casio PX-S1000
Pe_Pe , 23.12.2019
Good price, good piano preset. The keyboard could be a bit heavier. In general, stage piano has a nice and minimalist design and is very mobile. Recommend !!
