The RC-300 is the first looper in my possession. I was animated by "Rico Loop", a former Berlin street musician who demonstrated on "Youtube" what is possible with this device. The service has opened up to me in less than twenty minutes, so the panel is so clear and generous. It is fun, and it is at the same time incredibly inspiring to record all kinds of instruments and voices, to loop them and to provide them with overdubbs and the sometimes very good sounding effects. The RC-300 is the ideal musical instrument for people who want to spontaneously make music. No annoying start-up of a computer, no time-consuming setup of a DAW. Just press the power button on the back of the high quality machine and the creativity is almost limitless.
A couple of weeks ago I bought the Boss RC-300 Loopstation, after I came to the "Loop-Fever" with the RC-3. In the RC-3 disturbed me after a short time, that you can only record, overdubben can and then a running loop runs. It is possible to remove the last recording, but with a delay of a few seconds. To coordinate this was quite hard. This is not a problem with the RC-300 at all, 3 channels with a seperate switch and a "total on / off switch", furthermore, a lot more inputs and outputs are available. Including a Mic input with phantom power, if necessary. The RC-300 also has effects. If you use the Loopstation as an interface, you have to make cuts in the sound. Also the price is not cheap.
All in all I am very satisfied and have fun with the device.
