One of the better plastic cases

I'm generally a big fan of Boschma cases as the plastic is both robust and malleable enough that it doesn't feel brittle. That said, I'm not convinced the front of the case wouldn't go concave on impact and touch knobs sticking out on the front of the gear. All these cases are stackable, which is neat, and this particular shallow model takes up as little space as necessary to protect 2U worth of gear. One of the butterfly latches has become a little loose after frequent use but still holds. There are rubber feet on the bottom and side so it can stand 'upright' and the handle is chunky and ergonomic. However, one of the rubber feet keeps coming off which means the rack can fall over when upright. Thomann provided replacement rubber feet which is great but they do get lost easily if they fall off in transit and they're difficult to put back on. Boschma could improve the riveting for this part of the design. The sliding door on the back is nice but offers less protection for the back of your gear and the screw that holds it in place is v easy to misplace!

I ordered a Boschma ABS case. When it arrived, the item was defective (very poorly made). I returned the item (free of charge), but Thomman refused to refund me for the original postage associated with sending the defective item to me. In effect, they sent me rubbish and I paid postage for their mistake. I have asked them to re-compense me several times (as the return was simply because the goods were faulty), but they monotinously refer me to their Terms of business. Nice !!!!!!!

They are also terminally slow at Customer service response, unless it is associated with standardised referal to their one sided trading policy.

DONT USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT GRIEF WHEN THINGS GO WRONG
