Perfect Axe-FX Alternative!

10.10.2016
If, like me, you are tired of not being able to get the sound you want out of the amp/pedals you have, give this a try.

At its price, it's a perfect Axe-FX alternative for the average home-player.
Wide range of effects and amps/cabs for guitar, but very few designed specifically for bass. However, the guitar amps/cabs often work better for bass than those designed for bass!

Buy this and a pair of studio monitors (such as KRK Rokits or similar) and you're good to go.

Very easy to setup and use. Pro Tools, in my opinion, is a nightmare. NOT user friendly, but you'll get used to it.

Difficult

17.06.2016
I generally do not like any manufacturers to use the market power. Avid is a limit ..
The device is a good piece of hardware.
Robust, tidy jacks, solid processing the device, button with Led control and clear clear display. I like it..
A criticism of the colors of the leds in the rotary potentiometer, this could optically signal the old state, which one had before.
Red / green, I like it, as with chargers also, I am easy colorblind red / green, I can see no differences as between red / yellow / green ...
There is no such thing as me, no, the manufacturers do not interest.Easy for people like me, not to use, but this is itself a brilliant function, I am unfortunately excluded from it.
Well to the sounds and I like it straight, rock ..
The Cabs, I have not yet fallen on any device, the years will probably continue this development eh the times really good synonymous.
For some inter-effects but in a song, good to use, there are the original.
The amps, there will be interesting, in the reason there are some really good.
But really layers can not the same, as the old devices could. In the meantime the modern equipment is missing something.
This is not so bad, because through the reamp function and FL Studio I can simultaneously create different sounds, effects from the software and also the device usable. Since the sound also fills the head ;-) The reamp function is really awesome, this went unfortunately only for a long time not right and today you go. And I have no idea what it was because Update only Automodus.
If it does not go again, I'm just as smart as before.
We should buy, but do not think. Such things annoy me.

Converters and amplifiers, headphones only in this case,
The problem as with many other devices, rock you can not hear quietly, even under headphones.
And right there then break the away, "muddy" when one turns louder,
These are less the converters, which have saved in the voltage supply, like many others today. I play the guitar over the ElvenR over the i5 notebook, on FL studio (that does not like AMD so correctly) and from there to the digital PC to the large PC AMD on the Pro Tools with RME sound card to the headphones .. RME is still For me the measure of all things in terms of distortion factor. There is actually none, rather burst my drum skins.
Quiet music, as both are closer to quality. But louder, then you separate real worlds.
And that's where the strengths of the Elevenrack begin.
The asio drivers are very good, and each input and output controllable in mono and stereo .. Also very stable, surprised me.
Here is no difference to the RME, even with the latencies, I play live at 3 ms on both ..
The coronation on this device, the entire Midi reference list can be called up via the display in the device. This is really exemplary.
Criticism the DRM systems of the software, there is one at, with each booting of the computer performs the one install .. I thought only virus. Arg oblique.
One thing I noticed, but I have no explanation. If I use the device via the Noti games Elevenrack software, the sounds sound better in my opinion than if I operate the device in the standalone. Since the sounds do not qualify for me so high quality. No idea whether my hearing deceives me or it is really so. I can not explain to me, both of them would have to run over the DSPs and converters of the device.
You know that, the tube in the head, everything that has no tube can not sound.

Overall, I would not have kept the device, but> the price difference to a current RME external solution, the really exemplary PC connection in matters ASIO, which make the device enormously flexible, access to free sounds in the net ... (whereby times should be here Not so much expect, it is simply missing a bit of dynamism when you use the device without a PC) the real good clean sounds, there are nice things (this also indicates, the hardware here is not quite as powerful), which in my opinion Good converter, 96 khz, because from then on import dynamics really only to the effect, the stable housing from Metal, the TrueZ input of the occasional soon really brings more than the built-in sound modules in terms of dynamics, the ease of use, the easy to Understand is in my opinion, (you have to press each device and rotate), here you can recognize the professional in terms of manufacturers, these were the reasons why I have kept it.
(I do not work live, however, lines here refer only to Home Studio area).
Pro Tools do not need to write large here, the audio renderers of which put everything in the shadows what I know, whereby here RME the output converter also does not represent the Elevenrack, is halt market leader. I use FL Studio to import and implement ideas, which is so inviting to experiment, as I love FL, so what is creative is genius, but it also has powerful weaknesses to mix as Pro Tools is then active with me FL Studio has no chance, much too many inconsistencies, plugins affect each other across channels, and as I use the digital I / O of Elevenrack to RME. The two can stand together wonderfully, no problems.
So also there, no weakness of the device. It convinced me.
There are better devices in this area, but then they are also different price classes!
