Love this!
I have been using this microphone for clipping onto reed instruments (accordions, melodeons, and concertinas) as well as clipping onto a mic stand to record acoustic guitars. This microphone has a fantastic level of clarity and a great frequency response, and I can't say a bad thing about this. As a portable microphone used (before lockdown) for live settings, this mic has been a go-to for numerous applications, and has never let me down. The HPF works excellently for me on the instruments that need it, and the power module is really heavy duty. One thing I will say is that the windshield doesn't last forever, however this should not stop you from getting this microphone. Great product Audio-Technica!

No disappointments with this one!
After branching out from audio recording into basic video filming, I required a 'lavalier' mic. As an audio engineer (of sorts!) the audio quality recording for my video filming was key. This unit delivers a very good result indeed, I would recommend highly. It also is versatile for use with acoustic guitar (and other interments although have only tried with guitar). The frequency range is comparable with my Rode NT 5 ambient mic's. Only downside I would mention is I would have liked the option to go wireless with it but that's more about my specification research.

Using as an acoustic guitar pickup
Good clean natural sound when put through an AER amp. Not playing a super high volume.
