Good but not as good as all the videos has said.

I got the Crusher Rec after much research to use for silent use/recording(no cabinet needed) of my 5150. Being 120w, im quite limited to which loadboxes/attenuators i can use. After many months, videos and reviews, i got one...and it's not as good as advetised. Compatible with 120w, the built in EQ to simulate different speakers and the clear sound was what sold me in. Now... The EQ is almost useless, it works but sounds awful no matter how you tweak it. I found it impossible to make the EQ sound realistic to a cabinet. The sound isnt that clear, sounds like there is a lid over the tone kind of like a tone pot and it killed alot of sustain. This is my first loadbox/attenuator so im not sure if less sustain is something to expect. Quality is good, it works well as a lineout box with IR's but is not worth the money considering the nowhere- near- realistic sounds when toggling on the EQ. I like the LED meter for the levels. Overall, it is usable but need a redesign in my opinion.

For a high quality amp load box, look no further

After getting a Marshall 1959 HW, I was in the market for a quality load box that would also function as a direct to DAW recording solution for a 100W+ amp head. I was lucky to team up with my local store and try out quite a few of the models on the market before committing to buy; Torpedo, Palmer UAD OX to name a few. For the most part, all of them delivered, although there was a slight mechanical noise from every model I tried except for the UAD OX and the Rivera Rock Crusher. This was a bit of a game changer as the unit will be pretty close to my monitors in the studio. After a call to the US staff to make sure it could handle my amp, I go the product from Thomann. I'm super glad I did my homework on this one and got the largest unit with passive cooling, ie no noise. Big ups to Rivera on this product, one of my best investments for sure - pure boutique power!

Honestly this has got to be the best bit of kit I have bought for the guitar ever. Not only does it allow me to crank the valves in my amp to get out a great tone but it allows me to do it without going deaf - genius! If that's not enough it also works as a DI/Load box so I can take out a 2ndary line out and use the onboard EQ to sculpt my tone further or use it as a cabinet emulator. The EQ is extremely responsive and when blended with the sound of my own cab the results are sonic beauty! This box can be used both in the studio as well as live so it is hugely versatile. Makes me want to check out their amps now!

Great but adding too much bass end, not transparent

It is great analog attenuator and a lod box. Works really well. Problem is there's adding a lot of bass and the sound becomes muddy. Even if you try to remove it using the EQ. But at the end you learn to adapt.
