Bought a set of these because I play with triggers live sometimes.
They work great! Adds a bit of thump, dampens the drum just eneough and left an unexpected amount of tone in the drum as well. With this kind of dampening I personally find one can “get away” with not having perfectly tuned drums. I usually use regular o-rings but there’s a big chance these stay on instead!

this thing is very helpful specially if you have a drums with bad bearing edges , it can actually fix the tuning issues.
plus, don't use it with double ply heads if you don't want to kill the tone completely

I have a Pearl Export, perfectly good middle-of-the-road kit in my opinion, but the toms are all really resonant. I mean really, REALLY resonant. So much so, with the original skins on (which aren't brilliant anyway), that you avoid playing them. So in a rehearsal studio scenario you have a couple of options. You can either spend hours fiddling about with tape and tissue and cushioning and tuning. Or you can buy one of these, fit it and play. Took just a couple of minutes to fit, totally took my ringing toms in hand, they sound great now - a bit of tuning and I've got a perfectly passable sound for practising. Top notch 'lazy' solution for toms that resonate way too much.
