Mesa Boogie Subway D-800

I bought this amp to use it for gigs where I want/need to travel light and having already owned the Mesa Big Block 750, I couldn't resist when Mesa announced they were bringing out a class D amplifier. The range of tones in this amp is phenomenal, the deep switch and voicing gives you what seems like endless low end if you want it with the voicing control slightly scooping the mids as you turn it up. The bass, low mid, high mid and treble controls are all very responsive and the slightest turn of any of these controls can have a big effect on your tone. The features are also excellent with a mute switch on the front panel and pre/post switch on the back which is very nice. Having the option of playing through headphones is also great so you don't wake your neighbours late at night(and believe me, you won't want to stop playing this amp so you could end up playing it all night long!)! I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I think I may end up using this as my main amp for a long time to come!

Kleine Anmerkung zur Beschreibung des Amps hier bei Thomann vorab: Natürlich hat dieser Amp einen Kopfhörerausgang zum stillen Üben. ;-) Es liegt dem Amp sogar ein Klinkenadapter ab Werk bei.

In der Vergangenheit habe ich für mich die Erfahrung gemacht, dass ein 8- oder 10-Band-EQ den Sound eher verschlimmbessert. Wenn man hingegen einen hochwertigen Bassverstärker nimmt, dessen EQ genau dort ansetzt, wo man an seinem Klang feilen will, hat man die klassische Win-Win-Situation. Weniger ist eben manchmal doch mehr...

Aus diesem Amp kann man alles heraus holen, was man möchte und braucht. Er kann wirklich alles! Nur kriegt man klanglich eben nichts kaputt, weil man mal etwas zu viel rum regelt.

Ich bin überglücklich und habe meinen Amp in diesem Mesa/Boogie gefunden. Zusammen mit der, im Link unten, verknüpften Bassbox bin ich auf allen Bühnen (egal wie groß oder klein) bestens gerüstet.

Toll: Ohne Aufpreis in der Lieferung enthalten ist ein schönes Gigbag zum Schutz des Amps. Da zahlt man bei anderen Herstellern zum Teil richtig drauf.
