Bun insa nu extraordinar

L-am cumparat pentru home recording pentru a atenua db prin placa de sunet. Am simtit ca afecteaza putin calitatea sunetului insa pentru pretul lui si pentru home recording este suficient.

I had a much more expensive solution in mind but it just goes o show that the guys at Thomann give the information that is best for you and not just for their bottom line.
Exactly what was needed to do the job which in this case is acting as a splitter to feed a dry signal into a USB interface and into a effects rack.
Music peripherals are often described as indestructible but in the case of the PAN 01 that might be closer to the truth than could reasonably be expected. Compact and does what it build to do well.No complaints, will probably need 2 more in the future.

Versatile DI-Box

The passive Palmer PAN 01 is a really great DI-Box for its price point. I use it primarily for recording and practicing guitar and bass at home. I bought it in the first place due to the limited headroom of my interface, the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24.
After a little time I also did some reamping which worked absolutely flawless.

Since the PAN 01 is a passive DI-Box, it reduces the signal's level when the impedance is being transformed. If the gain is way too high the -30dB switch helps reducing it to a proper level.

The original signal does not seem to be coloured, which might be the most important thing for most users.

On the upsides it also comes with an ground lift switch, it is well built and it comes with a 5 year warranty.

Does it's job perfectly

I bought one of these for recording active basses in my home studio. I was kinda prejudiced because I met a lot of negative opinions about cheap DI boxes. But be wary not! For almost 3 months so far of recording I've never experienced any noise, hum or hiss. This is a quality product from my point of view.

It got hard metal housing and it is sturdy, although it is ridiculously small - same size as open palm :D Never had any issues with this DI box! The singnal is clear and noise free. It does its job perfectly. I recommend it!
