These strings sound fantastic, not scooped or overly forward in any frequency range according to to my ears. They have a very good string-lifetime, going up to 4-6 months for me personally until they completely die. Maybe even more so than the sound, they feel really good which is equally important to me. They feel incredibly smooth and more responsive to my attack than most other strings, and that while being stainless-steel. They are hex-core strings so they are slightly stiffer than you might expect, but this allows for lower action (hence lo-riders) to compensate for, which I think is great. If you can afford these, I would strongly reccomend them.

After going through many kinds of 5-string sets this was the one I was entirely happy with. Not too sloppy feeling, but sturdy and controllable even with ADGCF-tuning. The tone stays fairly bright for several months and doesn't lose the highs suddenly as with many other strings. So far the quality and consistence have been good and the strings are in good balance. Highly recommendable.

Zuerst hab ich die HiBeams von DR gespielt. Brilliante, kontrastreiche und ausgewogene Saite, die aber nach einiger Zeit ein gewissen "Wums" vermissen ließen, so kam ich über die Artikelbeschreibung auf die DR Lorider, ...und was soll ich sagen? Ich werd mir nie wieder andere Saiten kaufen, auch wenn sie teurer sind als der Standard, es zahlt sich aus!

Diese eher straffen Stahlsaiten lassen neben Plektren ein unglaublich schnelles Fingerspiel zu, dass auch noch definierten Sound liefert.

Die erste Woche, nach dem aufspannen hören sich diese Saiten noch sehr metallisch, blechig an, was ich aber unglaublich liebe und für spezielle Aufnahmen sofort nutze. Das Attack und das brachiale Tiefen und Tiefmittenfundament lässt einen erzittern, wobei sie zusätzlich noch sehr lange eine gesunde Brillianz beibehalten, wie es sich für eine oredentliche Stahlsaite gehört.

Wer sich in Pop-Rock bis hin zum derbsten Metal in seiner Band durchsetzen will, wird diese Saiten vegöttern, ich empfehle sie aus tiefster Überzeugung heraus an alle Basssisten denen ihr Sound eine wichtige Rolle spielt und die sich mehr Sustain wünschen.

Jediglich den ganz umwickelten Teil der Saite finde ich zu lang. Laut DR reicht die Saitenlänge für über 37-Zoll-Mensuren, aber wer spielt sowas??? Ich habe gerade nochmal mit der B-Saite auf meiner Standard 34-Zoll-Mensur Glück gehabt, da das dicke Ende genau an der Mechanik endet.
