As you can see in the Rivals section of this review, the Parker Fly Deluxe, with its magnetic and piezo sounds, is a direct competitor to the T5. It was one of the first guitars to really popularise the dual magnetic/piezo hybrid concept one of the Flys unique selling points. However, with this new USA-made single-cutaway, Parker is entering the mainstream with a guitar thats clearly designed to compete with the likes of the Gibson Les Paul and the PRS Singlecut, without any piezo tones.
