Great hoop to consider.

This hoop is worth serious consideration. Combines the properties of triple flanged and die-cast. It darkens the tone of the drum, but doesn't dry it out too much, and gives a great rim shot/click sound. It also seems to hold it's tuning a little better, as it's a lot more robust. Looks great, really neat and satisfying construction, with some weight to it and a nice logo sticker. The best thing though is how it feels when it's struck with rim shots. It honestly feels like hitting butter. The fact that it protects your bearing edges is just a plus; because us drummers really shouldn't be doing that in the first place, right?

Really well made and solid, the s-hoop help focus the sound of each drum and make tuning easier. They also create a pleasant profile to the drum because of their flat rim that sits close to the head.

Super Hoop!

Ich habe die werksseitigen Spannreifen meines Sonor Martini Kits durch S-Hoops (Oberseite und Unterseite) ersetzt und wurde nicht enttäuscht.
Der Klang der kleinen Kessel wird tatsächlich voller, sowohl im Bass- als auch im Obertonbereich.
Die Verarbeitung ist durchwegs gut, es finden sich keine scharfen Kanten, die Spannreifen liegen eben auf und sind in sich sehr verwindungssteif.
Ebenso positiv finde ich die gelungene Optik: Durch die Windung nach innen bekommen die Trommeln ein modernes aussehen, das durch die zusätzliche Menge an Chrom noch mehr glitzert.
Anzumerken ist, dass sich die Schlagfläche der Trommeln bei den Größen 8" und 10" merklich verringert.
Insgesamt eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
