Avalon Design - When only the best will do!

The VT-737SP Recording Channel, probably the most famous Avalon product, is a modern classic among recording aficionados. When it premiered in 1998, the VT-737 was pretty much unique with its feature set, quickly establishing a fan base among the US Hip Hop community as the go-to channel for first-rate vocal recording. The story goes that around the year 2000 audio hardware suppliers were constantly getting new orders from freshly signed artists for "an MPC and a 737, please!" The label advance was quickly reinvested where it mattered.
The 737 quickly established itself as a technical standard, as a must-have piece of hardware. Avalon Design’s classic offers a potent combination of valve preamp, opto compressor and 4-band EQ for vocal recordings. The SP version (short for Special Performance) offers a higher performance microphone input transformer than the original. To cut to the chase: the VT-737SP is cannot be recommended highly enough for everyone in need of a channel strip with supremely transparent yet finely balanced sonic characteristics while also offering flexible options for crafting the ideal sound when recording.
Looking for a mic pre? Look no further than the AD2022 and the M5.
