I am delighted with my recent purchase of the Millenium MPS-500 E-Drum Set. I will be moving to the city soon to study music and required an affordable practice kit that would be silent enough to use in a built up area without disturbing the neighbors.
For the price it certainly meets and surpasses all expectations! Although I personally wouldn't consider this kit suitable for live gigging scenarios, it is definitely suitable for the practice room. Headphone compatibility and a port for an external audio device ensure this kit will be more than sufficient if you want to jam out for hours but not disturb anyone around you with the obtrusive noise associated with a conventional acoustic drum kit.
The kit itself is structurally very solid. Assembling it all was an easy and enjoyable process. I have encountered no problems to date with any of the equipment provided, although I did swap the single pedal provided for a set of double pedals - I found that the pedal supplied was not on a par with the rest of the package.
Overall, I would highly recommend this kit for anyone that requires a kit without the noise, or indeed anyone who enjoys composing their own kit sounds - a feature made available through the 30 user-slots provided with the kit, and a features I myself cannot wait to use!

A very good value for money
This electric drum kit is suitable for beginners and experienced drummers alike! I purchased this kit as a substitute for my acoustic kit to reduce the amount of sound I make while practising (and I broke my acoustic kit - oops!). The majority of the kit is quiet - with the noise being able to be hidden by a closed door - apart from the kick pad, which can be fairly noisy at times. However, this kit is absolutely perfect for playing through the day and up until the latter hours of the evening. I have had zero complaints about noise since receiving this kit. The kit is very easily assembled and straightforward to use, and has a fantastic sound. However, I have found the pads' response while playing is reduced slightly when practising faster songs - and can sometimes not register when hit on occasion, especially the hi-hat. The kit has a multitude of different sounds and kit types, which are all easily customised, alongside having a considerable number of free slots to create your own kit! Although I find that the pre-programmed kits are more than adequate for every play style. Users can also use the kit to record performances and store them on a USB device to transfer them to a computer or laptop, which works well and is easy to use.
