Great Strings!
Anonymous 10.02.2017
These go on my Lowden F50 guitar and they suit the instrument well. Changing strings less often while maintaining good tone is an absolute luxury.

It wouldn't make sense to buy these if you're prone to breaking strings, aside from the expense, it would defeat the purpose of using something built to last. Also, if you're on an instrument that doesn't sound good to begin with, there's not much to be gained putting these on.

If you split your time on more than one guitar these are great. Instead of opening a case after a couple of weeks to find discolored and dead sounding strings that won't tune true, you pick up right where you left off.

Put these on a nice instrument and they will sound great for a long time.

The sound get's even better over the time!
Anonymous 22.09.2014
I first ordered these strings because my Lakewood was strung with elixir strings.
These Medium Phosphor-Bronze strings are just perfect for it!

The sound is so versatile! It really shows the character of a high-quality guitar!
The bass is pronounced and the treble is vere present.
But the also sound nice on my Ovation Roundback, which is normally leaking some treble. These strings eliminate this!
I used EXP strings before. The Elixir strings sound alikely soft as the EXPs but add pronounce the trebles so much better.

The durability is really long, i sometimes leave them for more than two months on the instrument. The sound get's even better over the time! But then the coating fades away and the strings start to oxidise so they have to be changed.

All in all they are my favourite strings, every advanced player should try them!

Best acoustic guitar strings on the market

I use Elixir's acoustic and electric guitar strings since forever, they have a beautiful sound and are unbreakable, at least for me. Never used a different brand since I have used them for the first time, and certainly don't intend to.

I bought these for my Taylor 310ce, they are the same strings Taylor shipped stock on that guitar. They are quite thick and have a lot of tension to them, I struggle to to perform a full step bend with these on the 2nd fret on the G string, but they produce a strong and thick tone with strummed open chords. The tension they provide ensures the guitar always stays in tune, even when played aggressively. I tried a few other string manufacturers & gauges on this particular guitar, but I encountered intonation problems with those and eventually I reverted to using Elixir strings once again. These strings last quite a long time and don't corrode easily. There is a reason Taylor ship Elixir strings as standard on their guitars! Highly recommended, especially for dreadnought steel string acoustics.
