Great sound, Well made, pretty long!

I've used most strings over the years, and I always seem to return to D'addario. And with good reason, they are really really good strings! EB's tend to sound dull and flat to me pretty quickly, whilst D'addarios have always felt more musical and sounded tighter. (Yes, they will Djent pretty well too!) I have used this string on a 30" scale String through guitar with a reverse head stock, and it's still long enough for that. So 99/100 they will fit perfectly and have no problems. They taper later than other brands as well, which is good as I have found that some strings taper over the 1st fret of my guitar, meaning that they buzz really badly. D'addario's customer support is great as always and they care as much about the first time buyer as they do their endorser's. My only point for improvement would be for them to offer even thicker gauges in future so I can run them on a 9 string without having to resort to bass strings. Maybe even up to .120?

AN
Best uncoated strings on the market
Alexey N. 10.05.2016
I've tried a lot of string brands and D'addario stands out because of several reasons... There are some other brands that sound just as good, but these strings come in a wide variaty of gauges available as single strings and they recently switched all packaging to sealed environment-friendly bags instead of paper envelopes. Combine that with a great tone, fairly long life (for uncoated strings), and extended range guitar-friendly length, and you get the ultimate brand that can equip your 7+ strings guitar with exact string tension you want for a fair price.

I highly recommend these strings for all guitar players.

Perfect gauge for my low B string on my drop B guitar. Nice and tight feeling while sounding great.

Quality guitar string, but..
Christian5194 13.01.2014
I always have (and probably always will) have a love for the great and even quality of D'addario strings. Their sets are fantastic and their single strings, like this one here, are just beautifully balanced with the right tone to it.

Though, I wouldn't buy theese from anywhere else but Thomann because of the packaging. Unlike their string sets which are all vacuum-sealed, their singles are not and are prone to oxidation if they sit for too long in storage.. Very common in smaller stores where the demand is different. SO, great strings, but I recommend to buy theese from a bigger retaliler like Thomann because the quality and freshness is going to be much higher in the end, making it less of a risk to get a dud string!
