Great mouthpiece

I bought this mouthpiece hoping it would match my Geneva cornet. After trying it for a few days I can say I am impressed by it. Tuning and intonation great throughout the entire register, slotting great, sound clear and very suitable for my front row playing at second (B grade) section. My endurance has improved - I can get through a full band practice of technical music, and also further along technical studies without having to rest a moment. My lyrical playing and expression is good.I have hit lucky at last on my particular embosure, cornet and mouthpiece combination - it works for me.

Dit mondstuk heeft zeker en vast een geweldige toon .
Maar het is voor mij wel niet geschikt om in het hoge register te spelen .

Riesenbohrung und tiefer Kessel. Daher ein warmer flügelhornähnlicher Klang. Nicht geeignet für Bläser mit wenig Ausdauer oder ungeübten Ansatz. Oberhalb von c''' braucht es schon außergewöhnlich viel Kraft und die Töne tendieren zum hängen (zu tiefe Intonation). Aber in der tiefen und mittleren Kornett-Lage klingt es ausgezeichnet.
Zu empfehlen in einer Brass-Band für die zweiten Kornette. Blasorchester zweite Stimmen. Orchester erstes und zweites Kornett.
Meiner Meinung nach nicht geeignet für sehr kräfteraubende Passagen in der hohen oder sehr hohen Lage (Brass-Band erstes (Solo)-Kornett oder Es-Kornett).

Autant les embouchures Yamaha GP pour trompettes donnent un son rond avec une grande souplesse, autant le son de cette embouchure 14E est terne. Comparé à une Denis Wick... pas facile ! Mais c'est tellement subjectif.
