JUST A FEW years ago, no one really knew much at all about convolution reverbs. Musicians after a digital reverb fi x either made do with budget Microverbs or wallet-emptying Lexicons, and were generally happy to do so. Computers were still barely capable of running even one or two average-sounding reverb plug-ins, so outboard hardware was still the way to go for the best sound.
