Online Guide Pickups
Conclusion and Feedback

The basic decision to be made when choosing pickups is that of humbuckers or single coils. With the alternative methods of hum elimination now available, this is very largely a matter of taste, with a smattering of your own willingness to hack up your instrument thrown in! Fortunately, your guitar’s physical design no longer limits this choice – mini humbuckers can be fitted into single coil cavities, and humbuckers can be split. The variety of pickups available has never been greater, from vintage to modern and wallet-friendly to wallet-busting. We hope this Online Advisor has left you with the confidence to go ahead and experiment - the choice is yours!
