Bruce Egnater has been designing guitar amplifiers for over 30 years. He started out by building amps for his own use, and that gradually turned into a business – also due to the many innovative ideas he kept bringing to his designs. Bruce Egnater’s custom amps have a great reputation – and unique features such as his modular preamp concept (that he has also licensed to Randall Amps).
But custom amps unfortunately also have custom price tags – and Bruce wanted to bring his signature sound also to mainstream players. So he developed the new Renegade, Rebel and Tourmaster series.
These amps’ rebellious names are no coincidence: they combine his trademark custom sound with affordable price tags!
Rebel-20.
The Rebel-20 kicks things off – quite literally: this small all-tube head has just one channel, but boasts a limitless variety of tones anyhow: Egnater’s unique Tube Mix parameter, allows blending seamlessly from 6V6 to EL84 tubes. And its scalable watts control allows you to dial in rich and creamy tube tones at any volume level.
The amp is also available in two 30 watts combo versions with 2 channels, additional features and either 1x 12 or 2x 12 speaker configurations.
The Renegade
The 65 watts Renegade packs even more power: Each of its two channels has its own dedicated EQ section, Tube Mix and reverb controls. So any tone from “British” to “American” is just a tweak away. A speaker emulated recording out and included 4-button foot switch make the Renegade a perfect companion for both, stage or studio use.
The Renegade is available as head or combo versions with 1x 12, 2x 12 or even 4x 10 speaker configuration – catering for all tonal needs and applications.
The Tourmaster
The Tourmaster is made for the big stage: As the name implies, this 4-channel amp with 100 watts has been designed for the needs of touring musicians. It faithfully delivers any tone from Country to Rock and Twang to Metal Mayhem. Each of the channels has its own EQ section, a contour knob and a switch for modern or classic voicing. The reverb is tube-driven and the FX-Loop is tube-buffered – and all important features are of course foot-switchable. Its speaker-simulated DI-Out makes it easy to get connected.
