Good product

Good product overall. It does the job elastics have to be changed every two-three years, the tightening screw loosens over the years, the shock mount lasts about 5 years total. Good value for the price.

Decent, secure, good-value shockmount
Anonymous 17.05.2016
I got this mainly to mount my AKG C-414 as the proprietary one costs an arm and a leg. This has a large enough diameter to fit it and holds it securely.

The attachement to the mic stand works fine and has a reasonable angle of adjustment.

I also use it to hold a Sennhieser MD421 (since that has one of the worst holder/clamps known to man) although a smaller diameter clamp will work for this.

Generally great for quickly clamping LDCs and large dynamics that otherwise have fiddly, stubborn or ridiculously expensive holders.

This was probably designed for a specific mic - I have no idea about that.

Does the job.

I'm using the MXL 57 Shockmount with an MXL V69. The shockmount comes packaged securely and does its job well.

My only complaint is that the elastic on the bands lose their strength quickly, so I'm forced to keep my mic stored away rather than out and ready to record in order to 'save' the band's lifetime. You can probably buy these separately somewhere, but I've yet to find them.

Good for what it does.

I use it to hold my MXL MXL v67g mic. It does the job, and helps to keep handling noise at low. The grip of the shock mount is also really good and i need not worry about the mic falling no matter how i place the mic. However, the screw for mine isn't very good. It takes some effort to screw the shock mount onto my mic stand.
