As a long time drummer but first time electronic drum user I have found the MPS-400 set absolutely excellent. I have them plugged into a PA system and the sound is excellent. Great to be able to turn it all down when playing with my acoustic guitar friends or just use the headphones if the kids have gone to bed.

It took a while to get used to the rubber pads but now I actually prefer them to the real thing - maybe I am still in the honeymoon period :-)!

The variety of drum kit sounds available is good but the practice tracks to play along to are nasty - like electronic elevator music. I generally plug YouTube into the PA as well and practice with anything I want including online lessons for new ideas.

I have tested other kits in music shops here in Ireland and there are a few really bad kits I would not be happy with.

Overall I give the MPS-400 a thumbs up and see no reason to spend lots of cash on more expensive kits.

I bought this e-drumset and was very pleased of how good it was. It has pretty good soundbank for all kinds of music genres. The sounds are clear and the drumpads are very good. Even the bass drumpad can take some heavy drumming. The drumrack was sturdy and very easy to build. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. It is very good drumset for beginners and i would highly recommend it to everyone. Millenium is known for their cheap products and i can really say that this drums set is worth every penny. I would especially recommend this for beginners of all ages!

These drums arrived from Germany to Ireland with no problems - It took about 5 days for them to get here. The drums were in perfect condition when they got here. It took about an hour to set them up. The sound of the drums is on a par with any of the Roland sets I tried in music shops here. There are many drum kits to choose from ranging from regular drum kits to electronic drum kits. The range of kits is vast and there are notable differences in the sounds of each kit. In other words its not just the same kit each time with tiny differences. There are also the usual novelty kits and the kit can be hooked up to a synthesiser (although I haven't really spent much time on this myself) The playability is excellent. I would rate these drums highly and they are good value for money.

Very good value for the price

This kit is perfect for a beginner like me who wants a full range of features at a low price.
All pads are fully height, angle and sensitivity adjustable, and bass pedal spring tension adjustable. As with any electric kit the cymbals dont feel fully natural, but they can be made as sensitive as you like with differing sounds depending on where you strike them.
Kit is compact enough to fit in a small space (110x140cm incl throne). The frame is sturdy and doesnt move during play. Throne / headphones not included with kit unless you buy the bundle. I recommend buying a decent pair of wooden sticks with the kit e.g. Promark. The sticks wont wear down too quickly, as the kit has soft rubber pads.
I have had this kit for a few months now, and plan to buy a double bass pedal to use with it (for metal genre). The pads are hardwearing enough for regular practise play - no bubbling or peeling. Once I have spent a few years building up my skills (and saving up!) I would upgrade to the yamaha dtx900 series or roland td30kv. But before making such an investment, the MPS-400 is a great kit for just a rookie.
