Crystalll clear but warm sharp sound
Kirschner 19.07.2018
I simply love it on acoustic guitar , overheads, any kinda percussion stereo is my best gear
I send it's voice through an smc2b wich helps a lot more but without that this gear is great too.

Look is ok, but for me it is beautiful - I find beautiful all my gear wich works nicely - even my smc2b :D

Big big headroom, nice voicing, very small noise, very clear and accurate sound, very good transient handling I wish I have not the twin but the 4 channel version

No cons only pro-s

A must have and the price tag is also super, it worth much more.

Punchy sounds and useful features.
slimcadie1 13.02.2019
This is just great on drums and acoustic guitars. Punchy, warm, clear and a dark "weight" down below. It's not THAT coloured, so you can use it on anything with good results. For stereo micing it's great to have the stepped gain knobs, phase switches etc. There is plenty of gain, the 3 impedance options are sometimes useful, as is the HP filter knob. I have two of them in regular use with no issues whatsoever.

A
both "defined" and "warm"
Astromancer 11.05.2020
What a lot of us want from a pre is two sometimes conflicting things, it has to be "defined" and "warm" at the same time. This pre is good for vox and acoustic guitars, with a detailed, "silky" high, and warm mids. Very interesting are the variable impedance settings. It pairs very well with Neumann TLM 102 and KM184 and Rode K2 I have experienced. And you get the free plugin for the rest of the ISA 110 table when you register. In this price bracket it is probably one of the best. If you are looking for "lots of Neve coloration", then you are probably better of with WARM or GAP, but I don't own these units.

It just works
Knertens 04.11.2021
Want something that is built like a tank, and just works? Get this. Not the most characterful preamp out there, but it sounds solid, yet pleasingly soft somehow. Maybe not my go to for cool rock guitar sounds, but it's a fantastic utility preamp. Love the variable high pass filter and the insert. Really love the switchable impedance. Ended up getting the ISA 828 mkII as well.
