Das Evans black chrome tom-Fell funktioniert tatsächlich nicht auf allen Toms. Ich besitze mehrere Sets, und musste feststellen, nachdem ich Maple, Maple-Bubinga und Birch-Kessel getestet habe, das dieses Fell am besten auf meinen Birken-Kesseln (Yamaha recording custom) klingt. Es wurde von mir sowohl im Studio, als auch im Bühneneinsatz, ausgiebig benutzt.
Ich empfehle als Reso-Fell das Reso Glass Clear von Evans.
Über Geschmack kann man sich nicht streiten, aber ich habe bisher nichts besseres auf einem Birch-Set gehört! Klare kaufempfehlung von mir!!!
