I was looking for strings that would allow me to tune my Precision bass down to BEAD. So after some string sets with up to .115 I struggled to get a clear tone not getting 'mushy' and having a string tension thats not to low.
So I took the lower four strings from this set and put them on my P-bass. I had to rasp the saddle a bit as the strings didn't fit but after that and tuning the strings it was all good.
So the P-bass was tuned to BEAD and when I played at our rehearsals it was awesome. Punch, deep rich Bass and a growl that made my Precision a real beast.
I have never heard any strings that produce that much growl (and I tried many. From Rotosound to D'addario, from Pyramid to Warwick Black label and so on)

My favourite pack!

I'm play bass for like 10 years and i've tryed everthing, but those strings are the best!
They are quite cheap, I like 135' gauge for my half step down tuning A#. I have only 34' mensur bass and 130' gauge feels kinda woubly. They stay bright for a long time, but I had some premature "dead" B strings after few weeks of playing. I'm still not sure if it's bridge or string fault.
I'm liking the sound because it's bright, responsive and Ernie Balls always had that signature "ring" to it. I've tried D'ddarrio's, DR's, Rotosound's but Ernie's are the strings of choice for me!
If you need 135' gauge string pack, go for it, they are great for A or A# standard or drop tuning.
