Best Brass 5C, heavy monette style

The Best Brass 5C is a very good mouthpiece for making a dark, big tone with an excellent comfort cushion rim. For me, the bite is much too soft and the rim needs redesigning. I also think the grooves in the throat make it play worse, not better, making it respond less well than it should. The same mouthpiece in titanium plays and sounds a little better if you have metal allergies. The only place this 5C is unbeatable is in the large bore C trumpet - it can improve the tuning and sound. With Thommans return policy, you can afford to try this rim for a few days and see if it's too soft for you.

Boquilla pesada. Sonido con cuerpo, brillante y con gran proyección. Mi Selmer Sigma multiplicó su energía gracias a ella. Apoyo del aro muy confortable. Equilibrada en todo el registro. La copa se nota quizá un poco menos profunda que las típicas "C" estándar, yo lo he apreciado en el registro agudo. Aunque el baño de oro es fabuloso, encarece aún más su precio, ya de por sí elevado, más que la mayoría de marcas. No obstante es la mejor boquilla que he probado. La compra mereció la pena al 100%.
