j'aime tes hanches (pardon, tes anches ! ) Vandoren ! suaves et douces elles procure un son parfait pour le piètre saxophoniste que je suis. mais quel touché du bout de lèvres....

...it's great!

But, it can be a bit hit-and-miss, to find just the right reed in a box of 5. I'm lucky to get 2 or 3 reeds that work perfectly out of the box, but when the right one comes out my tenor never sounds better.

I use these reeds with a hand made RPC tenor mouthpiece and the sound can be rich and smooth, and solid and not squeaky at the top end of the saxophone - including, nice round altissimo notes.

It's my favourite reed for that mouthpiece - but only if it's not a dud. That's the main reason I'm not giving it a full 5 points, as the the chances of them all being great reeds (in my experience) is too uncertain.

Vorab zur Orientierung:
Meine Stilrichtung: Rock, Pop, ein wenig Fusion.
Mein Mundstück: Rico Graftonite C5; Vandoren Java T-75.

Ich habe die V-16 mit den ZZ, den Java red und grün, sowie Rico Royal verglichen. Für meine Zwecke sind sie dabei als "Testsieger" hervorgegangen. Vor allem für das Graftonite werde ich so rasch kein anderes Blatt nehmen. Sie bringen einen Höhenbetonten, lauten, frechen und knackigen Sound (den man aber mit dem Ansatz ganz gut mildern kann), sprechen gut an und geben mir einen angenehmen Widerstand.
Aber Achtung: Unter den genannten Blättern der Stärke 2 sind die V16 eindeutig die härtesten; bei den ZZ etwa sind die 2.5er so stark wie die 2er V16. Deshalb sind sie auf dem T-75 für mich grade noch spielbar; hier würde auch ein 1.5er genügen (ich spiele da aber lieber die ZZ.)
