Although there is a good deal of debate about the virtues of mixing ‘inside the box’ (ITB), more people than ever are now convinced of the advantages of plug-ins. Their march to dominance has been helped by ever more powerful computers and the development of comprehensive and intelligent software, that at times far outshines hardware equivalents in terms of functionality and ease of use.
While hardware is by no means dead and gone, it’s certainly now being superseded by software at all but the very top end of the market – for versatility, convenience and price, plug-ins sure can’t be beat!
