Sturdy Case for Anything

I find all the Thon Cases made well and this is not an exception. I bought two of these. Other for stands and other for cables.

When this is filled with stands, the rectangle shape gives up to bit. So it could be a bit more sturdy, but in that case it would be also a lot heavier. That's why I would not recommend to pack it full of stands.

You can buy a partition kit which includes a board which divides the case optimal for your purposes. I bough 3 boards so there is 4 slots for all the cables of our band. Also set up wheels so even 1 person can move this easily on a flat surface. Without wheels I would not recommend anyone to lift it alone.

Thon Accessory Casen saranat ja lukot ovat laadukkaat. Kiertämällä avattavat lukot eivät pääse aukeamaan vahingossa ja ovat suojassa upotettuina kyljen tasoon. Vaikka runko on vain 7 mm paksua levyä niin laatikko pysyy hyvin ryhdissään kansi lukittuna ja ohuemman materiaalin ansiosta laatikko ei ole turhan painava. 120 cm pitkään laatikkoon mahtuu hyvin isompikin määrä rumpu hardwarea ja bändin mikrofoni telineet yms. muut pikku telineet. Myös kookkaampi rumpupenkki mahtuu leveään laatikkoon. Taittuvia kantokahvoja on riittävästi, kaksi kummassakin päässä.

Tilava ja lujaa tekoa oleva laatikko. Tähän mahtuu koko bändin kaikki ständit. Kestää painavankin kuorman notkumatta ja tukevista kahvoita on hyvä kantaa.

Reliable case

Bought this 120 x 40 x 40 case for transporting our microphone- and guitar stands. I mounted four 100mm bluewheels (from Thomann, two with brakes) to move it around better.
But we must learn that the fully packed case got too heavy with 80 ? 90 KG. As long as you can roll it it´s fine, but loading/unloading to the truck or carrying downstairs to a club in a cellar was a pain. The four handles are great to lift it but we are no roadies.
So we decided to divide it in three compartments to store our cables. One for all Speakon cables, one for our cable drums with microphone cables and the third for all that stuff like Gaffa tape, adaptors,a small box with spare fuses, bulbs and so on.

It is still heavy to carry but with now roundabout 50 KG much lighter and easier.
After some years in use it is still in good condition. It has some ditches and scratches on the surface but nothing fell apart. The handles and catches are still working fine.
I would buy it again.
