I'm a musician/sound engineer and I got this thing somewhat two years ago. It has performed on my home studio and field work without a single fail. Recorded eguitar and bass straight in, vocals and acoustic instruments and countless full band demos. Works great both in PC and Mac. Fits into my backbag with my laptop. No bad things to say about this one.

This soundcard is perfect for me

One of the best soundcards i've encountered. The software allows latency as low as 4 ms, but of course that is lower than needed even.
When recording,i use 32 ms or 64 ms, that's all i need.

Software mixer is quite simple to use, and the internal signal routing is easy to use as well.

Perfect soundcard for me, as i already loved the smaller 4x4 soundcard.
Now i can hook up all my gear once, and concentrate on the music, instead of playing with cables.

This soundcard is so stable, i have yet to see any kind of glitches etc. This thing is solid as a rock, i would not change this baby for anything.

Good job , Tascam.

A good USB-interface for hobbyists.

A good interface for recording in a home studio. Has enough inputs and outputs and a clear settings panel when hooked to the computer. Gain settings for certain inputs is a good thing as well. Works well in recording your ideas and demos, would not use in recording high-quality tracks for wider publishing though. The preamps could have been better.
Despite its fallbacks on certain aspects, a bang for the buck for sure. By far superior to other devices in its price range and a good investment for people that want to start recording.

Ihan hyvin ajanut asiansa hintaan nähden. Toki etuasteet sais olla paremmat sekä kanavakohtainen Phantom. Mutta ei voi tuohon hintaan enempää vaatia.
