The legend with a polished name

There isn't much to add to the qualities of the Sennheiser HD-25 and its variety of models. Instead of writing a complete review which there are plenty already, I will try to answer some questions that I had before buying the product.

The package of Sennheiser HD-25 Plus comes with the HD-25s installed with coiled cable and pleatherish earpads, spare pair of velour earpads and a spare 1,5m L-jack straight cable.

The build quality of the Sennheiser HD-25 Plus compared to the older models is virtually the same. At first the product feels flimsy but in longer run it will prove how unbreakable the build and design really is.

The great thing in buying the Plus version of the headphones is that you already have a spare cable when your cable will eventually wear out as is the case with the HD 25s usually.

The sound of the HD 25s is quite warm with ridiculously deep bass. The mids are very present and the highs are quite tame but still there. It feels that in some songs the bass can overwhelm the highs just a bit.

HD25 (plus) on ihan syystä pysynyt yhtenä liveäänentoiston standardeista ja studioiden soittajien korvilla.
Kuulokkeet tarjoavat perusvarmaa sennheiser saundia ja ovat mukavan kevyet pitkässäkin käytössä.
Rumpalina ja miksaajana kaipaisin vielä parempaa sulkevuutta, mutta eivät nämä sen osalta häviä muille saman hintaluokan sulkeville kuulokkeille.
Suurin vika HD25:ssä on jo pitkään tiedossa ollut tyyppivika, jonka johdosta joudun itse päivittämään (kovaa käyttöä näkevät) kuulokkeeni n. 3-5v välein. Edellisissä kolmen vuoden käytön jälkeen alkoivat kuulokkeiden liitännät pätkiä. Tämä tosiaan on kyseisissä kuulokkeissa tunnettu tyyppivika, mutta palaan silti uudestaan ja uudestaan näiden pariin.

This is my second pair of HD25's I use them for live sound engineering and in my home studio.

It's a classic design as it's always been and give a honest sound with a tight bass response just like my last pair.

The only thing I can see that's been added is the choice of cable curly or straight included in the box and they are slightly more pricy.

These are the industry standard for most live sound engineers, cameramen and DJ's and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

You can't really add anything glad nothing has been taken away.
