Heavy-duty and sturdy

I've been eyeing these stands for years and was finally able to invest in them. I have to say the wait has been worth it.

I'm using the stands for a standard two speaker setup. Overall the build quality is classic K&M; sturdy, stable, heavy-duty, and solid. The round floor plate is WAY bigger than what I imagined, even when I knew beforehand that it was 45cm in diameter. It takes up quite a bit of real estate, but as a result you'd have to do some pretty serious tackling to get this to fall over.

The top plate is stable and level. Just make sure your speakers work well with the measurements and you are good to go. It doesn't have (nor does it come with) any rubber/other stoppers so you have to figure something out for that yourself.

The stand is aesthetically minimal and utilitarian, just the way I like it. Black, matte, functional looking, and doesn't disturb the eye.

The price tag is a bit hefty, but it really is justified by the quality. You are paying for something that will serve you for the rest of your life. I can't imagine this breaking or otherwise failing to serve its purpose. Bite the bullet and secure a solid future for your speakers.

Good value for money!

My 11kg speakers sound very good on these K&M's, even compared to my more expensive pair of Hi-fi stands (which are on spikes and have sand filling).

When set up properly (with support pin through hole), the lowest setting brings the bottom of the speaker to 97,5 cm height. There are higher slots every 5 cm. This is ok for me right now, but the stands would have been more versatile if the lowest pin hole had been a few cm lower.

The heavy cast iron bottom plate makes these stands extremely stable.

The price is for one stand - good value for money!

Harvaa ständiä voi kehua kauniiksi, mutta tämä häiritsee esteetikon silmää vain minimaalisesti. Kokonsa puolesta täydellinen mätsi JBL LSR 305:lleni. Kannattaa huomioida, että alimmassa asennossaankin korkeutta tälle tulee noin 97 cm, mikä voi olla liikaa joihinkin setuppeihin. Vankkaa tekoa, varmasti elinikäinen kumppani.

Very solid stands

I’m a recording enthousiast and these stands are my first speaker stands ever. I wanted to get stands to seperate my Adam A7x monitors from my desk and this seemed like a solid choice. My monitors fit nicely on them

Pro: The stands are easy to install and feel very sturdy. I’m confident that if I bump against them my speakers won’t fall. They seem to do a good job at separating the speaker from the room.

Cons: it looks like one of the stands is slightly leaning. (In all honesty, it could be my floor that’s a bit crooked) the round base makes it a bit awkward to set your speakers up. But after quite a bit of moving around I got them set up perfectly. (Tip: follow the Phantom Speaker Test instructions from Jesco at acousticsinsider.com)
The stands were a little too tall for me. It would have been nice to have an even lower setting then the ones that are available now.
The spikes could possibly scratch the bottom of your speakers but I’m not really concerned about that.
I guess the price could be a con too but I feel like this was the best option for me. I trust K&M’s products to be good quality which it is, if that comes with a slightly pricier budget, I’m ok with that.

Despite of the cons I am very happy with them and I don’t regret getting them. The overall build is good. It does what it’s supposed to do. you just might have to take some time tweaking depending on if your desk is in the way or not.
