Top Quality Case

I own a rare, top class, and very expensive instrument, and when I realised the limitations of its original hand built case, I looked for a quality replacement. I have owned many high class instruments (and cases) over the past fifty years and I am familar with Hiscox (my brother has his Lowden in a Hiscox for the past 16 years). The Pro 2 model is exceptional. I am very pleased with the handling, weight, and protection it offers. I did consider the Artist model at twice the price, but the Pro 2 offers more than adequate protection without the extra weight.
I think I have made a wise purchase and choice of supplier, as Thomann went to lots of trouble to check measures etc. to ensure my instrument would fit.

Stabiler, leichter Koffer

Der Hiscox ist sicher nicht der billigste Koffer, aber einer der leichtesten und stabilsten. Er passt perfekt für 17 zoll Archtops - bei mir eine L5 - und man kann teure Schätzchen guten Gewissens transportieren. Da der Koffer rundherum mit festem Schaumstoff isoliert ist, dauert es sehr lange bis die Außentemperatur das Innere des Koffers erreicht hat. Im Winter und Hochsommer kann man die Gitarre also gut temperiert zum Gig oder zur Probe bringen, ohne das Instrument Temperaturschocks aussetzen zu müssen. Wenn man eine Jazzgitarre mit vintage Dearmond Floating Pickup und Control box am Schlagbrett benutzt, kann man den Schaumstoff des Koffers an den entsprechenden Stellen auch etwas eindrücken, so dass beim Schließen des Koffers keine Beschädigungen des Instruments drohen.
