Great sound, but where is the power?

I have purchase this products to drive 4x Canton Quinto 540 HiFi speakers. They go in serial order to make 8ohm of load (4ohm x 2). The sound is great, would definitely recommend to anyone requiring a powerful amp for a HiFi system. However, the power is a bit missing. My speakers all together make 200W @8ohm. The amp is supposed to be much more powerful. However, it clips at around 95% of the speaker capability. Enough, but not as advertised. Probably there is some issues with the speaker impedance being more than 4ohm and thus making it more like 8-16ohm speaker set. However, I still expect more power from this amp. Otherwise, the sound quality is top and definitely recommendable to anyone for HiFi use.

Crown XLI1500 Amplifier

Using this amplifier in a home hi fi system with some good quality speakers and a CD player with built in pre amplifier. It works very well cannot complain about anything. Drives the speakers with ease and gives the type of sound that I want smooth and powerfull. You can hear the fans at close range but not from where I listen so no problem to me.

Excellent! I'm using it with a pair of JBL PRX 412 and the sound is great, clear and everything it's there where should be....clearly satisfied!
