Nopea ja maukas demppaus

Ostin kaveriksi Gretschin Taylor Hawkins -signaturevirvelille. Se on 14x6.5 ja teräsrunkoinen ja tällä Donutilla saundista saa paljon juurevamman ja monikäyttöisemmän. Testattu demoäänityksissä ja tulos oli varsin miellyttävä. Yhden keikankin ehdimme jo heittää pienessä kuppilassa ja tuohon tilaan tämä toimi mielestäni täydellisenä demppauksena. Paksu reuna ja reikä Donutin keskellä mahdollistavat varioinnin kahdenlaisilla ghost noteilla, mikä on aika hauska yksityiskohta.
Menee turvallisesti kalvon päälle jätettynä rumpulaukussa eikä Moongel-purnukan tai teipin unohdus enää haittaa.

Herättää ihan mukavasti henkiin myös varavirpaksi jääneen Yamaha Stage Custom -setin mukana saadun virvelin, josta on aiemmin ollut pelkästään virittämällä hankalampi saada tavoiteltua saundia.
Hintaa on muovirinkulalla kuitenkin sen verran, että koitan pärjätä tilaamallani yhdellä jatkossakin.

It?s amazing how such a simple device is able to alter the sound characteristics of the snare drum so drastically. It doesn?t only suppress the overtones, it makes the snare sound completely different, with a thick and deep sound. It has the power to make my piccolo snare sound like it is 6 or 7 inch deep. It sits quietly on the top of the drumhead and, since it has a large hole in the center, the feel of the sticks over the drumhead remains the same. It?s a very effective and simple way to change the sound of the snare drum without the need to alter its tuning.

Makes your snare sound like a 80's disco snare without any mixing. Very nice to stop ringing from a snare or to deaden the snare for recordings.

Looking for big, fat 70's snare tones? You need this!

Perfect on my lively metal snares, this removes all overtones, reduces the pitch of the drum, and gives that classic fat and thick snare familiar from those 70's recordings.
Good quality and has a nice weight to it, so no risk of it somehow coming off the drum in use.
This is the "donut" version, meaning it has a hole of several inches in the center, so it doesn't interfere with how your sticks feel on the drumhead.
Would buy again if needed. Fantastic!
