Excellent sound quality for acoustic instruments

This contact microphone is great. The sound quality is excellent, and so is the build quality. Apparently it's a miniature condenser, so that would explain why it beats all the piezo type contact microphones I've tried. I've had many of these attached guitars, violins and kanteles for years, and they all work well even after extensive recording and playing live. The microphone requires a dedicated preamp/power supply from AKG (B23L or B29L) to work, and with that you can get plenty of amplification even with a really quiet instrument (for example, the kantele). I'm also really happy about how well the adhesive putty holds. The microphones I've installed have stayed attached perfectly for over half a dozen years without coming loose at all. The adhesive is easy to remove when needed too, and doesn't stain the instrument. I recommend this microphone wholeheartedly for acoustic instruments.

Good sound quality

I have bought this, after borrowing one from one another sound engineer and used at a live performance on Sitar and quite like the neutrality of the sound.

Bon son et très bon rapport qualité/prix

Le son est bien plus clair, profond et précis que n'importe quel piezzo que j'ai pu essayer dans la même gamme de prix (K&K, Schatten etc... merci en passant à Thomman de m'avoir permis d'en essayer plusieurs)
Le truc c'est de bien le placer sur la table, et aussi comment le fixer. En le fixant directement avec du double face, j'ai eu des problèmes de saturation et un son trop brillant. Il est difficile d'avoir une épaisseurs précise et reproductible avec la pâte qu'ils proposent. J'utilise maintenant un adhésif double face dense de la marque 3M ( VHB 5952) de 1.1mm d'épaisseur et je met 3 couches. Cela permet d'avoir un peu plus d'équilibre dans les fréquences. Sur un des instrument j'ajoute aussi un piezzo (Schatten Design Dualie) qui permet de mieux capter des fréquences medium graves. Je recommande le préampli ACUS stage pre 2, qui ne se vend malheureusement pas ici.

It's an ideal microphone for violin to sing in group or solo. Sincerly, i don't think that it's an another one product for this category of instrument to sound sow good. Thanks Thomann for the best quality services!
