Acus One-6T Wood

Loong time ago I went to a guitar shop and while I was playing one acoustic I asked the guys to plug me in to see how the guitar performs. Then I tried different amps and they sounded well. Until I tried an Acus one. That one did sound great. I was really unwilling to unplug.

To buy this one - I went to the guitar shop (maybe during the years.things improved for other brands) and checked: Blackstar sonnet (both versions), Acus 5t, Boss Acoustic singer and Fender Acoustic. Unfortunately they didn't have the fisherman loud box. What to say. They all literally sucked in clean sound compared to Acus. At least to my ears (they all sound like an overprocessed electric amp).
So this was a no brainer. Acus - is purity. Those high notes really sound very good.
So with this let's talk about sound - nothing negative to say, only good things. Balanced and highly tweakable in frequencies sound. I have a Yamaha acoustic WITHOUT the mic, instead it has a piezo with a preamp that emulates the sound of some high quality mics (perfect for lives btw) and Acus makes it sound great and who plays acoustic knows how difficult it is to make sound an acoustic guitar great.

You have 3 channels for instruments of which 2 are also for voice. And a separate channel for backing tracks. All channels are usable and great in sound. You can do a small gigs with this amp. It can get also quite loud though never had the chance to push it to its limits.

Here we come to the grain of salt. Before buying my only concern was the longevity of the product. I've read some reviews online that people had some issues with these amps and it was difficult for them to get help from the company itself to fix. Though - I guess I've seen less than 10 of such reviews. And I guess even if not being the most sold amps in the world we are still talking about 1000s of them sold in the world. So the number of bad cases is not that high and by probability theory - totally acceptable. Still its a thing to consider.

Build quality is good and it has all the functions I need, safe one and that is channel panning. It has a xlr out socket for second box, but you cant pan anything, which is a pitty because we sometimes use it as PA on very small semi acoustic gigs.. Superb sound, sometimes a bit too warm for my taste but I guess it is by design. I tried couple of guitars with thisone and the one-8 and it had the same warm coloration of sound.
