I de senere år er mange nye – overvejende fjernøstlige - mikrofonfabrikater dukket op på markedet, ofte med produkter der i større eller mindre grad er, skal vi sige, afledt af kendte designs. Med JZ Microphones er historien imidlertid en helt anden:
JZ er et rent europæisk foretagende, grundlagt i den lettiske hovedstad Riga af mikrofon-guru Juris Zarins, efter at han gennem 20 år havde udviklet snesevis af succesrige designs for andre producenter, heriblandt Blue Microphones.
JZ står for kvalitet og originalitet: Alle mikrofonerne er håndbyggede i Letland af førsteklasses komponenter, optimeret til den bedst mulige lydkvalitet. Og der er vel at mærke tale om nye konstruktioner og ikke fabriksfremstillede efterligninger af eksisterende: Fra kapsel til elektronik er mikrofonerne originale produkter, som er udviklet af JZ selv, og som virkelig skiller sig ud fra mængden.
